Wine can not connect to mount manager
Wine can not connect to mount manager
I try to run winecfg and wish to connect a folder located on a windows-ntfs local disk. Wine writes that it failed to connect to mount manager!, disks configuration can not be edited.
How to fix that?

Re: Wine can not connect to mount manager
Where did you get Wine from? It sounds like your build is broken.
Re: Wine can not connect to mount manager
AltLinux - Wine 1.7.4-Eter http://winehq.org.ru. Initially it was ok. I tried to make Sippoint app work but with no success. Then I uninstalled wine and installed it again. Got a problem - something related to 32/64bit wine, probably some entries inside config files were wrong. So I did "mv ~/.wine ~/.wine_old" from command line.
Now there appeared a problem with mount manager.

Re: Wine can not connect to mount manager
Third party, patched versions of Wine are not supported here. Report the problem to Etersoft. FYI, that Wine version is also outdated; the current development release is 1.7.27.lwa1__X wrote:AltLinux - Wine 1.7.4-Eter http://winehq.org.ru.
You are probably missing the needed 32 bit parts.Got a problem - something related to 32/64bit wine

Thank you!
Re: Wine can not connect to mount manager
I have installed vanilla Wine 1.7.26 and when I run a setupe.exe it, the console gives me
What does that mean?
...the setup.exe was not started, just that message.
Code: Select all
fixme:service:scmdatabase_autostart_services Auto-start service L"Sentinel" failed to start: 2
...the setup.exe was not started, just that message.
Re: Wine can not connect to mount manager
Wine is failing to load the Sentinel driver. Are you using plain Wine now, or still using an Etersoft build? Plain Wine doesn't support USB dongles, so don't expect that to work. If this is an old wineprefix created under the Etersoft build, delete it and start with a clean one. If you're still using an Etersoft build, report the problem to them.
Re: Wine can not connect to mount manager
Installed (vanilla) Wine 1.7.26, still have other issues...
