new to wine and linux

i just started to use linux started just this week. i just downloaded skyrim and it in the wine folder and i run it though wine but when i start a new game it gets to the end of the loading screen and freezes at the loading screen and within a few sec it turns black then back to the loading screen then i have to restart the laptop any hints on fixing this also if you can tell me where can i find a mod manager.
