Can't start Medieval 2 Total War, "unspecified error"

Post by nickepickepo »

I installed M2TW with a wrapper and original CD. It said I "insert cd" so i downloaded a no-CD patch with seems to work to start the game. I get to the first loading screen when it shuts down because of "unspecified error". Here is the complete report:

at the errors state... if the game is requiring multiple back buffers, then Wine has yet to support that... if there is a way in the game settings to change this, it might work, but I know nothing about that specific game.

The AppDB lists that version 1.0 no-cd patch works, but the 1.1 version does not work with Wine yet.
