Temp folder size problem?
Temp folder size problem?
I haven't been able to find anything directly addressing this problem. I'm running eeebuntu Hardy on a eee PC 900 and trying to install a program (CDC's EpiInfo), but I get an error message saying, "Could not create temporary file, not enough free temporary disk space. Please free up disk space and rerun this installation."
I'm assuming that the temporary file is trying to open in the drive c: "temp" folder, and when I pull up the properties for that folder it lists the available space as 0 bytes. So what do I do to fix this?

Re: Temp folder size problem?
Yes, well, my question is how do I do that? There is plenty of space on my hard drive, but there is no option to resize the temp folder, the folder size is listed as "unknown", the folder is completely empty, but it says that there is no space available. I'm not uncomfortable working within the terminal environment, but I'm too much of a newbie to know exactly how to go about doing anything on my own.vitamin wrote:

How would I go about doing this?dimesio wrote:Have you mapped your drives in winecfg?
I moved my home folder over onto my 16GB SD drive, which has at least eliminated that particular space issue, but Wine is still having trouble running the web install program. I tried running it from the terminal to see what info would come back, and this is what I got:
wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x000000d4 at address 0xb7e5d78d (thread 0019), starting debugger...
Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x000000d4 in 32-bit code (0xb7e5d78d).

I was running the Web Install version of the CDC's Epi Info program installer.

What was the exact command?drmel94 wrote:I was running the Web Install version of the CDC's Epi Info program installer.

Downloading the full installer (instead of web install) works, but it needs jet40, mdac28, and vb6run installed first.
Then run the downloaded EpiInfoSetup3_5.exe to install.
The installed program does start up, but not everything works.
Code: Select all
wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
sh winetricks jet40 mdac28 vb6run
