SQLSERVERNATIVECLIENT 10.0 (SNAC10) cannot run

Post by sphinxo »

Can anyone help me , please ?

I would like to use sql server native client 10.0 (SNAC10) in wine ? because i am trying to connect to sql server 2008 r2 from application that runs on wine.
however when i try to test the connection using "udl" ( i make a file in browser which have extention *.udl, and i select properties then go to provider ) by selecting sql server native client 10.0, it says "Provider is no longer available , ensure that the provider is installed properly"

When i select sqlserver native client (snac 9) and the windows version is win2K , i can use this sql provider.
there is no problem for snac 9.

So my problem is when I use sqlserver native client 10.0 (SNAC 10) or SNAC 11, it always say like message above. I have also tried all windows versin in wine, but the result is still the same.
