Install Mono Message error

Post by aarelovich »

Hello:

I've been trying to install AdobeReader IX in my Linux machine using wine. I'm using Debian Testing 64 bits. I have installed (using aptitude) the mono package. However when attempting to install AdobeReader IX, wine still tells me I has not found it, and thus attempts to download it and stays there for a really long time withouth doing anything. If I cancel the download and ignore the wine warning. AdobeReader Installs but I cannot open it. When I execute it, the bouncing icon is show for a while and then it dissappears and the program never opens.

Any help, please?

Native mono won't work; you need to install wine-mono. If your distro doesn't package it, install it manually. http://wiki.winehq.org/Mono
