So I installed KOTOR (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) on my Debian linux distro and first, I had a problem with loading movies and starting the game which involved running the game in an emulated window.
I got the game working, but unfortanuately it looks like the game doesnt recognize my graphics card, which I am sure can render some basic 3d graphics.
It looks really bad and lags. Like, its in black and white and the smoke is in polygons. Hard to describe.
When I go to configure outside the game, you know, options before you open the game, and I put scan hardware, everything works except for Video. It says:
Failed:
Graphics Required: 32MB OpenGL 1.4 compatible PCI or AGP 3d Hardware Accelerator with Hardware Transform and Lighting (T&L) Capability required.
What's going on!?
HELP!
Thanks

Re: KOTOR on my IBM ThinkCentre
Graphics card/driver? There are comments in the AppDB entries saying this is a known issue on Intel GPUs, and the solution is to install driconf and enable ST3C textures. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... n&iId=2712 (see the thread "White Polygons")

Hey, I got what that post told me to get, and it worked! Game runs perfectly albeit lagging since my computer is about 12 years old
.
Thanks though, huge help.
