After upgrade wine cannot find the server

hi,

so today i make the upgrade to the last 1.3.8 version of wine, but now i get this :

wine: cannot find the server port: 0x0000044e

when i try to run any wine stuff. I have googlit, but without sucess.
any one now how to solve this?

I have the same problem. Does anybody know what to do?

If you're really using 1.3.8 like the original poster in this year-and-a-half-old thread, then the first thing you need to do is upgrade to 1.5.1.

Sorry, I was probably a bit unclear. I have Wine version 1.4, which I got through Macports. I'm running OS X 10.7. Also, I actually didn't update wine before getting this message, I just quit it at some point, then when I tried to launch another program later, I got this message. Sorry for the confusion.

Restarting the computer fixed this :D ; but just logging out and back in didn't. :?

Using Mac OS X 10.6.8 and WINE 1.7.17 on 20" Core Duo iMac
