Hello !
My network have a centralized cups print server where all the printers are shared through IPP.
On the clients, ipp printers are added, and there appear on the local CUPS server :
$lpstat -v -p
device for AL-C3800_prof: ipp://fichdc/printers/AL-C3800_prof
device for AL-M7000_prof: ipp://fichdc/printers/AL-M7000_prof
device for EPL-N2550_prof: ipp://fichdc/printers/EPL-N2550_prof
printer AL-C3800_prof is idle. enabled since jeu. 17 avril 2014 14:48:17 CEST
printer AL-M7000_prof is idle. enabled since jeu. 17 avril 2014 12:03:17 CEST
printer EPL-N2550_prof is idle. enabled since jeu. 10 avril 2014 14:41:25 CEST
The lpr command is present and printing works.
But Wine does not detect there printers it say that there are not installed.
What is the first thing to do to check where the problem come from ? (log ? configurion file ?)
Thank you,
Baptiste.
Wine doesn't detect cups printers (ipp)
Re: Wine doesn't detect cups printers (ipp)
I finally found the solution.
On Debian Wheezy libwine-print is not a dependency of the Wine package.
Once the package installed every works fine !
Hope it can help someone !
