So, fun stuff. I cannot run anything in Wine. At all.
All my issues started when my school's IT decided to uninstall and re-install drivers. I was running a windows partition at the time. I couldn't access internet which I need for classes so I gave up on Windows and wiped the drive to put Linux on. I'm still learning a lot about Linux, so if this is in the wrong spot, please help cause I have no idea where to put stuff anymore.
I currently have Wine 1.6.something. I have been trying to update, thinking that is the issue. However, it won't let me. I click the link to install it and nothing happens so I decide to update manually. This is what the Terminal spits out:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wine1.7 : Depends: wine1.7-i386 (= 1:1.7.14-0ubuntu1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
If ANYONE can tell me how to fix this, please, DO! I am sick and tired of being unable to do things for class because they "only run on Windows".
Please, and thank you.

Issue with updating wine. Doesn't belong on Bugzilla?

Binary packages are built by the distros, not here. Ask for help on the Ubuntu forum.

Yaaaay... -.- sent to another location.

FYI, another user just started a thread with the same problem, so you may want to report it to the package maintainer. http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=19854
