Your subject line makes no sense. If by "run a windows 95 cd rom for wine" you mean you are trying to run the Windows 95 installer using Wine, that won't work. You need a VM for that, and Wine is not a VM.

As for saving games and playing music, I can't even tell from your post whether you mean in Wine or not. Based on "how do you install this" (assuming "this" is Wine), it sounds to me like you don't even have Wine installed yet. The answer to how to install Wine without root is that you can't.

it does make sense actually. if you don't act like I am stupid.
and I did have wine installed when i posted this. (I cannot get the music to work for some reason.) It says there is no enough memory to save my monopoly games that I need to save.

but thanks for the last part.

btw what is a VM? just curious.

First: what Wine version are you using? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade.
(I cannot get the music to work for some reason.)
Does the sound test in winecfg work?
It says there is no enough memory to save my monopoly games that I need to save.
Messages from the app/game are not reliable, and ones about "not enough memory" in particular are often just generic error messages. Post terminal output. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

CalmWind I have got to say I read the title as not making sense from a wine point of view as well.

CalmWind big thing we are not mind readers. Bugs in wine are normally application limited. The project has an application database http://appdb.winehq.org/ this contains instructions to make different applications work. We cannot look this up if you don't give us the exact name and version of the program you are attempting to run. We also need to know what version of wine you are attempting with. Anything less than 1.6 we will tell you to upgrade.

Basically this is online support not over the shoulder support. Online support requires you to be a more descriptive about what you are attempting todo.

CalmWind information is power. We have no power to help you if you don't give us enough information to work from.

If I could answer this fully from the amount of information given in the original post I had better put my lottery numbers on this week :)

Just a little help (maybe) but I did have a lot of problems with programs/games from the windows 95 era that threw a memory error when using large amounts of GB because a GB was way above what windows 95 was used to in those days especially 10GB!
Luckily I have found new exe's that support large capacity for these old programs to function correctly so maybe look up your "Monopoly" game and see if there is a fix at all?
