Post by helen »

Hello i have on my computer ubuntu 12.10 (32bit) and wine 1.4.1 and i try to rum mirc (one new version, invision version and a old version) but...if i set wine to create a virtual desktop everything will cresh,if i disable the option of the virtual desktop instead the mirc,no mettar witch version as i wrote, will lag so mutch that is impossibol to use it!Instead on another ubuntu (old version i dont remembar exately the version) i run a old wine 1.0.1 and i'm able to ru
n two mirc in the virtula deskto! That i know sounds strange but s just as it! I was traying to uninstall the 1.4.1 and thinking to try to install the 1.0.1 but i was not able to do that so...now this are my questions:
1) How is possibol to upgrade the wine 1.4.1 version to the latest version useing the termina command the
2)How i can uninstall completely the wine 1.4.1 version from terminal command
3)How i can install the 1.0.1 (if the solution to upgrade will not sot out the problem) by termina command.
Thank's

I'm not sure Ubuntu is building current Wine packages for 12.10, but if they are, the instructions for getting them are here: http://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu. If there are no packages, you will have to build Wine yourself.

As far as the terminal commands for your package manager, that's not a Wine question. Ask on the Ubuntu forum.
