Problem with GTA SAN ANDREAS

Post by Malganys »

Hello, I have a rare problem with WINE 1.7.12, when I try to run GTA SAN ANDREAS (1.0) the program says: "GTA SAN ANDREAS need DirectX 9.0c" and I already have DirectX 9 installed.

PD: I run Linux Mint 16 "Petra" (Ubuntu edition).

The AppDB doesn't say anything about this game needing native dx9. Reinstall it to a clean wineprefix, and if it still doesn't work, try the troubleshooting tips in the AppDB entry. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=23695

The problem continues, the program says that need DirectX 9.0c. I try to install DirectX 9.0c using winetricks, but continues without any good result.

Messages from the program are not necessarily accurate, and ones about DirectX are usually just generic messages. Installing all of directx is not recommended.

Post terminal output from a clean install (no winetricks). http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log
