Windows Version not Changing

When I change the Windows version, any applications I have on Wine do not change to that, everything remains on (what looks like) Windows XP.

I am running Linux Mint 16 Petra Cinnamon, with Wine 1.7.12.

Any ideas?

It sounds like you expect the appearance of the windows to change by changing the windows version in winecfg. That's not what that field does. If you want to change the appearance, install themes on the Desktop Integration tab.
