Serial Number Entry Field Too Small
I am trying to install SimCity 3000 Unlimited on a Fedora 19 machine, running Wine 1.7.8. Everything looks good, except the serial number entry text fields are one digit too small. In other words, if the first field for the serial number is 1234, the field will only take 123. It is the same for all of the fields. Has anyone seen this behaviour, or have any suggestions?

Could be this bug: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20456. Try winetricks corefonts.

Re: Serial Number Entry Field Too Small
I had already installed corefonts w/ winetricks. Reading through the thread you suggested, I even tried setting "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\Current\Software\Fonts\LogPixels (DWORD)" to 0x48 (72), but that did not work. I tried different numbers of various widths (1 vs
, but each serial number field is one character short.
Is there anyway I can verify that "Windows Text" (the one that the installer is using when populating the input field) is using courie32?
