InstaTV server

Hello,
I'm still fairly new to Linux (about a year) and learning lots.

I have Ubuntu 12.04 installed on an HP with a core 2 duo & 2 gigs of ram. It's primarily my Plex server, but I also wanted to try using a program called InstaTV server on it which is setup to take video from my hdHomerun TV tuner and encode it to stream to our iOS and Android devices. No native Linux version of this program at this point.

InstaTV server works just fine on the same machine running under Windows Vista. It does runs under Wine on the Ubuntu install and it seems to encode and stream all the standard definition channels fine, but when I try HD channels the audio and video is really choppy. I did upgrade from Wine 1.4 to 1.7 from this site. Looking for any suggestions you all may have on where to start troubleshooting.

Correction: I upgraded to Wine 1.6, not 1.7
