I would normally post these findings in the App DB but lately all my submissions go unchecked. This is understandable due to the age of these games. "Battlezone II" and "Dark Reign II" are older Windows 98 games I found. I rummage the bargain bins at the mall, flea markets, and swap meets.
First both of these seem to work fine on installing them no issues there. "Dark Reign II" has some issues once you go to run the app. Reading this and following the instructions on that page worked well. Still requires the CD to run but again no issues. The old test result stands approved.
"Battlezone II" you need to upgrade using a patch 1.3.6.4 Public Beta found here. This greatly enhanced the game and will operate without the CD. Before the patch I could not get the keyboard to input my name and had to abort. Music and video is working just fine. This result is confirmed and approved.
My system is a desktop PC, running Kubuntu 12.04 LTS (Linux 3.2.0-53 generic), 5450 HD 1GB Raedon, 2GB RAM, and Intel Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.2Ghz. Like I stated above, this is just FYI and I normally submit to the database but either the maintainers died or have been very busy.

I suspect you have unrealistic expectations as to how quickly test reports might be processed. Maintainers are supposed to process test reports within 7 days, and are automatically removed by the system a few days later if they don't. At that point processing the queued reports becomes the admins' responsibility. So in the worst case, it can take up to 2 weeks of waiting for a maintainer to be removed then waiting for an admin to get around to it. If that seems too long to you, keep in mind that everyone involved is a volunteer and you could volunteer to be a maintainer yourself.
In any case, you really should submit this to the AppDB so people can find it. On the forum, it will drop out of sight within a day.
