Wine Steam Morrowind

Post by Arne_boettger »

Hey,

i have multiple problems with wine + steam + morrowind.
The most important at the moment is, that morrowind needs a 32bit system, but i have a 64bis. Ive read its possible to get 32x programms to run with the terminal an "linux32". But is that also possible with wine?
I cannot try it, there is a small embarrassing problem: the path of morrowind is: "/.wine/drive_c/Progam Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Morrowind", and when i type this in the terminal, it says:
"bash: Syntaxfehler beim unerwarteten Wort `('" ~ "bash: Sytanxerror at the sudden word `('"
Also i never did a bash script or created a desktop launcher, im not good at this, so i dont know how to do it this way.

I would be happy about help, greetings
A.B.

To create a 32 bit wineprefix: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#32_bit_wineprefix.

You didn't mention what Wine version you're using, but if it's older than 1.7.8 you need to upgrade, as the current version of Steam will not run with older versions of Wine.
