I am sure this question has come up before and i looked but can not find it. So i tried using the intall a game portion of winetricks and when ever i try to download a game that says dvd does that mean i have to have the game and try to install it that way? also what other ways can i install games with out having the game on me. like i tried skyrim and follow the how to portion but do i need the game in hand? also are there other webiste to get the games so that i may play them?

If a legal download is available, you can install that way. If you are asking how to obtain pirated versions, go elsewhere. Pirated versions are not supported here, and discussion of how to obtain them is against forum rules.

No not pirated. just a wider selection of games. on winetricks it gives me some but just wanted to know if there are any more out there.

yiro90 winetricks exists to help developers out with testing and other things. That it happens to be useful to end users is more good luck.

http://appdb.winehq.org has list of what has been tested. There are a lot more games than what are listed in winetricks that work. Bewared all test results only apply to the version of wine they were tested with.
