I'm running on OSX, but I don't know this is a Mac-specific thing. I just tried 1.7.8 on one of my prefixes. I noticed a problem in one of the games (not sure if it's 1.7.8 causing the issue or not), so I then tried 1.7.7 and the game wouldn't start.
This isn't the first time this has happened. I see an 'updating prefix' message the first time I run a new version of wine...does that do something that causes issues running an earlier version?
I used Time Machine to restore my prefix, so no big deal, but I'm curious about this.
