Steam crashes on first login.

I think steam guard crashes when I first log into steam. See the attached pastebin output. I get the security code, and login and it crashes. Running Elementary OS x64 , wine 1.7.

According to the crash log you posted, you're running 1.5.28, which is no longer supported. You need to upgrade, but you should probably wait for 1.7.8, as a bug affecting Steam was just fixed. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35030

See above log. I decided to try PlayOnLinux ... will also give it a go with just plain ole wine in a few.

As moderator says, it's already fixed but not commited yet. It's not Steam Guard fault.

We'll have to wait some time to the fix being commited to the repositories.
