Hello, New to this forum, new to Linux in general. I'm currently using Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS and wine 1.7. I am having issues running counterstrike Global Offensive on Steam. I get this error:
Your graphics hardware does not support all features (CSM) needed to run this game
Device info
Marked unsupported: 0
Supports PCF sampling: 1
Driver name: "ATI Radeon 5700 series"
Vendor ID: 0x1002 Driver ID: 0x688E
Driverhigh: 0x0006000E DriverLow: 0x000A21E9
DXLevel: 95 MinDXSupportLevel: 90, MaxSupportLevel: 95
I'm running a Radeon HD 5770. I have looked around and the only solution I have found is to change the vender and driver ID in the regedit section to make it look like I have a nvidia card. The problem is I have looked everywhere and can't find the vender or driver ID anywhere in the regedit. Do I need to load a different driver? Different version of wine? Different Linux OS? I'm pretty new to Linux, so step by step instructions would be very much welcome. Thanks for your help!
Trying to get counterstrike Global Offensive to work
Re: Trying to get counterstrike Global Offensive to work
You have to add those registry keys yourself; they are not created by default. http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys
You do realize that if your graphics card truly doesn't support the features needed to run the game, it still won't work?
