Hi, so i'm fairly new to wine and also pretty new to linux aswell(So sorry if i'm asking a dumb question). I installed a game with wine with no trouble but once I start it up it has no audio. The game looks fine and performs perfectly but I hear nothing. I've tried a couple other programs and games and the audio still doesn't work. I went into winecfg and clicked the "Test Sound" and that works fine. Under "Driver diagnostics" is winealsa.drv and the Defaults are all set at default.
Again i'm new so I don't know what else i'm supposed to put here but hopefully someone will help me. Also i'm using vanilla 1.7.0.
I've searched around but found no answer. Either i'm dumb and can't find it or no one else has had this issue or bothered to ask about it. Hopefully i'm not just being dumb.
Once again sorry if what i'm asking is dumb or this should be going somewhere else.
(Also I won't be able to respond till next weekend since i'm going to be in the hospital for the week, apologies)
Thanks

Re: No audio while running programs under wine
One thing you should always mention when posting is the name of the game or app you are asking about.
Have you checked the AppDB and Bugzilla for known problems with this game?
Run it from a terminal and post the output. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log
