Wine applications not minimizing properly, weird Photoshop..

Post by fakemoth »

Hi, it happened when updated to 1.6rc1, not a single application emulated with wine is working properly. The biggest problem is minimizing and maximizing windows - they just become some weird icons over my "start" buton. Also I got all kind of strange behaviour, keyboard not working, or typing in another window in World of Warcraft (will we ever get to minimize and alt tab switch this game? or at least kill it without restarting the machine?), in Photoshop CS5&6 portable the windows with different files overlap and you just can't get to them, layers don't seem to move when in fact they do, the windows are not clickable, tools not working etc.

Using openSUSE 12.3 x86_64 and now I'm on wine 1.6, up to date. Reverted to the default suse version, I think 1.5.23, no change. Than back to 1.6. This is not cool at all, can you help me pinpoint the problem? :x

in Photoshop CS5&6 portable
Adobe does not make portable versions of any of its software. Illegal versions are not supported here.

I am also on openSUSE 12.3 x86_64, using the distro packages, and I have not had any problems with my apps in 1.6.

Try reinstalling your apps/games to a clean wineprefix in 1.6. If you still have problems, post terminal output from a legal one.

It doesn't matter if it is legal or not problem is it worked and now is not, I have a license for 5 BTW as I work with it. But it doesn't install and the portable version works. Take a look at the browser then.

Just got home, will delete .wine and start from scratch. Thanks!
