Cannot download wine on windows
For unknown reasons, my new Ubuntu cannot do network connection properly. So I have to download Wine on Windows instead. But unfortunately, when access "http://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu" and try to install 1.5 package, I always receive a strange error from Firefox "The address wasn't understood" with address "apt://wine1.5". What does this mean? And how to solve this problem?
Re: Cannot download wine on windows
Of course it doesn't work. Apt is a package manager for Debian-based systems; it doesn't exist on Windows.
You should be able to download the file manually from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ppa. Note that you will also have to download all of Wine's dependencies, and there are a lot of them. I recommend working on straightening out your networking problems on Ubuntu.
