Mint comes with Wine installled, which is cool. I've also installed WineTricks, mainly because of this post:
* http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... ngId=73872
which encouragingly enough states:
I was able to get all of the above installed, install Quicken 2012 from the original *.exe file, add it as an application in Wine Configuration.On a fresh installation of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit and Wine 1.4, I performed the following steps to install Quicken 2012 Premier:
Used winetricks to install the following: dotnet20, ie6, msls31, gdiplus
Ran winecfg, went to 'Libraries' and added an override for msls31
Set Windows Version to Vista
The installation of Quicken 2012 ran smoothly and downloaded updates as expected.
EXCEPT: when I tried to add the override for msls31, it doesn't exist in that list within wincfg.
IF you have any insights on the msls31-missing, or handled this a different way, please let me know.
