There is a program called mt5 - its suppose to be faster than single threaded mt4 - if you have the cpu cores.
I wonder if Wine + app can take advantage of many cpu cores?

Depends on the app. I have a video encoding app that has no problem using all 6 cores running in Wine. However, some apps apparently do have problems:

This MT5 software specifically uses cores when backtesting and optimising.
And it appears to not work on Wine.
Maybe it is an area of wine that could be improved? Don't know.
