Hi
I have a tripple boot system (Win2k, Ubuntu 12.04LTS, Fedora 17).
Due to issues with Fedora 16, I installed Ubuntu and have kept myself there for now. Now I udpated to Fedora 17 and I will be testing it out looking forward to stay in Fedora.
My question is, can I install wine on a common directory in such a way that when I am working under Fedora I can use it and when I am working under Ubuntu I'd still have the same setup?
Of if it is not possible, can I have a common .wine directory (My $HOME file is common to both systems) so that I do not have to reinstall programs under both systems?
I have CivIV kind of successfully installed under Ubuntu and I want to be able to pick up the games were I was at if I boot up under Fedora.
Am I asking for too much?
Thanks!
Wine under Fedora and Ubuntu
Re: Wine under Fedora and Ubuntu
I dual boot openSUSE 11.4 and 12.3 and have all my wineprefixes on a separate partition (/wine). I can access them from both versions of openSUSE. Wine just checks that the user is the owner of the wineprefix, so as long as the user you are logged in as shows up as the owner of the wineprefix in both distros, it should work.

Thanks, I will try it out...
