Hello,
i want to fully switch to ubuntu from windows, the only thing currently holding me back is Starcraft 2: HotS not working well.
I have 25-40 FPS on all low settings (~150 fps on windows with all low, middle shader).
I'mm using Ubuntu 13.04 (64 bit) with wine 1.6.
My systemspecs are:
CPU: AMD Phenim II x4 955 black edition
Graphics: ATI Saphhire Radeon HD 5770 Vapor X
Ram: 8GB
Game is running from an SSD.
I'm using the AMD proprietary drivers. And have made the recommended registry entrys.
The strange thing is that while playing if have 0% GPU usage and the game uses only ~30% of one CPU-core while ~50% of all cores is avalible.cat I also monitored the CPU clock while playing (with: cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq) and it keeps changing from 800MHz to 3,2GHz.
Any ideas how i can improve the CPU/GPU usage?
best regards
pabi
