If you're asking whether or not it works in Wine, try it and find out. If you're asking for help getting it to work, post terminal output from trying to run it in the latest development release.

What is the log you see when trying to run the application? What wine version are you running?

Also, have you tried using a native download manager?

I'm sure he means the special Download Manager (IDM) which is for use to download videos from some special video sites like loads7&co.

"native" download managers are not able to download something from this kind of sites.

As far as i know this IDM downloadmanager installs someting in the background which than allows to comunicate with mozilla&co to download the videos.

I dont know if it would be possible to comunicate from within a linux program like firefox to a windows/wine program like the IDM.

FlashGot supports download managers running in Wine from within native Firefox.

However, what the OP is asking is that the Wine developers guarantee that his app will run in Wine. The goal is for all Windows apps to work in Wine, and if his doesn't he should file bugs, but no one is ever going to promise him that his app will always work in Wine.
