No printing

Post by UlrichFuerst »

Hi!

I'm using wine v1.4.1-4 on a debian wheezy 64 bit. In short I can't print.
Long version:

The printers of cups _do_ show up in the printing menu of wine applications.
But if I press the "O.K." Button nothing happens. Not even if I take the PDFCreator I installed in wine. I can't even print to a file.
Started from the konsole I get:
fixme:commdlg:PRINTDLG_UpdatePrintDlgW No lpdm ptr?
fixme:commdlg:PRINTDLG_WMCommandW Update printdlg was not successful!
When I press the "Print" Button (tested from within firefox, notepad and others). But the printing dialog shows up all the time. It doesn't disappear by klicking on "Print".

I just don't know how to debug this.

In hope for help
Ulrich Fürst

P. S. I use wien several times a week but I don't know how long ago I last had to print.

Your Wine version is old. Try the latest development release.

I can't find any binary newer than 1.5.5 although the page says there's a 1.6. developer version. Can I take the 1.5. too?

By the way: Is there a way to find out if the version I have is build with or without printing support?

Thanks so far

O.k. the version 1.5.5 did the job.

Nevertheless, is there a command to get a list of features of the installed wine?
