I need to use wine for business and I have a problem with MS Office 2010 (several actually).
The biggest problem is that the edit controls to enter task notes in MS Project crashes (in both, MS Project 2007 and 2010).
Does anybody know what I may have to install to get MS Project working correctly or what DLL's I have to configure builtin or native?
I noticed there is a lot of work going on fixing bugs in games or demo versions of games, however, by comparison only a tiny amount of work is spent on business apps. I hope what I am seeing is not a bug but just a configuration issue.
Thanks
MS Office 2010: how to configure
Re: MS Office 2010: how to configure
Known bug: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27769.
The AppDB entry has a note from a user saying he solved the crash by installing gnome-keyring. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=25397
The bug report hasn't been updated in a couple of years. Assuming you're using the latest development release (if not, please upgrade and retest), and installing gnome-keyring doesn't fix it, you should leave a comment in the bug report stating that this is still an issue, and attach terminal output from current Wine.

Re: MS Office 2010: how to configure
Thanks for the info. I have gnome-keyring installed. I am not using the latest dev release, I am a few back (1.15.29).
I am a little leary installing always the latest because I can't really afford for anything else to break. I might give 1.16.rc1 a shot.
Is there some way to give this bug some higher priority?

Re: MS Office 2010: how to configure
Is your system 64 bit? If so, make sure you have the 32 bit version of gnome-keyring installed. Also, if you haven't set the override for riched20 as instructed in the AppDB, do so. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... n&iId=4992
As for the bug's priority, right now it looks like the OR has abandoned it; it runs the risk of being closed as such unless someone verifies that this is still an issue in current Wine.
