Wizards Event Reporter

I've installed the following prior to the installation:

.net framework 2 jet40 mdac28

The Wizards Event Reporter gives this error on launch:

"The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseStatusLine"

The program will then launch but will not give online connectivity.

These are .NET errors. Can you try running this program in a fresh
WinePrefix and then use Mono instead of .NET 2.0?

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 and installed the WER through wine.
When I launch WER nothing happens. The icon lights up like it's loading and then nothing. No error. nothing.
Is this something someone can help me with?

What Wine version? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade. If the problem persists, post terminal output. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

The current development release is 1.5.22. Upgrade, and if the problem is still present, post terminal output.

I will try that tonight. A previous search of these forums had exactly the opposite advice to someone else who had installed .NET 2 - the answerer said to try it with a fresh wine install with mono, and to repost if that didn't work (to which there was no repost). Stoopid Windows garbage :P
