wine app db question (about making submissions)

I installed wine 1.4 through the synaptic package manager in Lubuntu 13.04, when you do this it automatically installs wine tricks.

does that mean any game/app i run in wine is automatically running wine tricks?

What i'm getting at is, will i need to alter my wine app db submission accordingly? If the games i est work perfectly do they get platinum or or say a silver because i have wine tricks installed?

Winetricks doesn't run by itself. You have to explicitly use it to install something. If you didn't do that, and the game/app works as well as on Windows, the rating should be platinum. If you did install something with winetricks, and the game/app works as well as on Windows, the rating should be gold. If the game/app works, but has issues not present on Windows that cannot be worked around with winetricks or some other tweak, the rating should be silver or bronze, depending on how severe the problem is. If the problems are severe enough to make the game/app unusable, the rating should be garbage.
