USB support for Wine???
I need to use Wine to program my Harmony One smart remote. I have never used Wine before with any of my Linux distros. I am currently using Ubuntu GNOME 13.04 Raring Ringtail. I installed Wine and Q4Wine so that I could actually use Wine and it did let me install the remote program from the Logitech website, but when it attempts to apply the changes to the remote, which is attached via USB, it is as if there is no USB support. It infinitely attempts to communicate with the remote. Looking further into the issue there does not seem to be any of my USB devices appearing in the Q4Wine control application. Any ideas?
Re: USB support for Wine???
Third party apps such as Q4Wine are not supported here; this forum is for plain Wine only.
As for USB support, if the device is pure serial over USB and Linux recognizes it when you plug it in, you might be able to get to work in Wine by symlinking the device to a com port. Otherwise, it will not work in Wine. http://www.winehq.org/docs/wineusr-guid ... ure#AEN715
