Wine unable to "Create folder" in Start Menu

I'm tyring to install several applications, and they're all struggling with the same problem: creating a simple folder in the "Start Menu"

According to the appdb, it should install just fine (Kindle for pc)

I get no output in the terminal, the installation application just freezes.
