Hi guys. I know Wine runs under linux.
The question is: can it be run under iOS? As iOS is based on Darwin project and is a linux family os.
This would be a game changer, because it can run on iPad and save us from having to buy a Windows tablet!!
WineHQ for iOS?
Re: WineHQ for iOS?
iOS and OS X are derived from BSD, not Linux, but that's not the problem--Wine already runs on OS X.
The issue is the processor; iPads are ARM devices. There is work being done to add ARM support to Wine, but since Wine does not do CPU emulation, you will never be able to simply run an x86 app on an ARM processor with Wine alone. http://wiki.winehq.org/ARM
