Hi there!
I need help fixing a problem occurring in the console while installing wine (version: 1.4.1).
I followed the instructions on david baumgold´s tutorial. the last thing that worked fine, was the initialising of the installation via the command: "sudo port install wine" . further, all other components including macports (version: 2.1.3 for Lion OS X 10. 7. 5) and x code (version: 4.6.1) have already been installed at this point.
after a few hours of installing wine, the following error message occured:
---> Dependencies to be installed: gstreamer010-gst-plugins-base gnome-vfs gconf orbit2 policykit gnome-mime-data libtheora libvorbis libogg orc xorg-libice xorg-libsm lcms mesa xorg-dri2proto xorg-glproto xorg-libXmu xorg-libXt xorg-libXxf86vm xorg-xf86vidmodeproto
---> Building orbit2
Error: org.macports.build for port orbit2 returned: command execution failed
Error: Failed to install orbit2
Please see the log file for port orbit2 for details:

To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide:
http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets
Error: Processing of port wine failed
I already had a look on the macports-ticket-website, but sadly there aren´t any comments and responses to the issue.
Thank You,
greetz from Austria,
P.
Bash installing Wine (Orbit 2-problem)
Re: Bash installing Wine (Orbit 2-problem)
That is not a Wine issue at all, but a Macports issue installing something which isn't even Wine... you need to get help in a Macports location.
Re: Bash installing Wine (Orbit 2-problem)
problem solved by updating mac ports
