With this current update, wine now runs my application in hardware rendering mode. Before this test (today), hardware rendering mode collapsed after about five minutes. Today, I ran for over an hour and a half with no problems in sight except for a few minor texture problems.
Well done, maintenance team. Well done!
P.S. Because AMD has discontinued support for my GPU chip, I am using the Xord default driver.
