1. What I would like to do.
I would like to run a dedicated game server for "IL2 Sturmovik 1946" under Wine on a Ubuntu server 12.10.
2. How could that possibly be a problem?
This means I would need to install and administer Wine and in turn the game server in a CLI only environment (the server being administered via SSH and Webmin).
3. Which brings me to my question.
Is this at all possible, and if so which is the best way to go about it? Perhaps it's even been done by someone in here, and if so - that individual might be prepared to kindly share what knowledge gained in the process?
Any attempts at helping are appreciated, ranging from mere speculation to complete walk throughs - and anything inbetween
