Hearts of iron 3 failed to launch
I installed Hearts of Iron 3 following this guide, http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... ngId=65419, And it fails to launch with this error. http://pastebin.com/7kHmJFzt The Launcher, And shortcut work fine, But it crashes with that error when I tell it to start the game. I installed Hearts of Iron 3 in a new wine prefix, When I check the registry, There is no Direct X listing in the places that guide says there should be. When I installed Direct X 9, It worked, But when I was supposed to tell it to finish, It didn't say finish, It said next. I pressed it, And nothing happened, I press back, And it just showed a full progress bar. I closed it with system monitor, I probably need to reinstall that. I installed it with winetricks as it told me to, And when I run it again, It says they are already installed. How do I uninstall it? I am on Ubuntu 12.04 with a MSI Radeon HD 7770 Graphics card if it helps.

I have nearly the same error message in other Games running in Wine 1.5.21. I would suggest to use an earlier Wine version. For me 1.5.19 does the trick, but maybe you would want to try out the tested Wine Versions in AppDB.
