Wine can't find my file? help!
im trying to run the emulator nogba.exe on my mac! Wine is my obvious decision but every time i try to run it i get this message: wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\nogba.exe"
Can anyone help? I can't seem to use tab to do the autofill thing my computer just beeps when i press tab! any help?

that means the current directory your in when you try to run Wine doesn't have nogba.exe in it... you need to cd to that directory first... if autofill cannot find it... Wine can't either.

But i am 100% sure its in that folder and i did cd to the directory. It just wont recognize that it is in there

Isn't the name of that emulator no$gba.exe?

yes, but the $ symbol is a command in wine so i changed the name, i tried running it with the regular name and a backslash to cancel the command but it still didn't recognize my file

You can be sure all you want, but if using TAB for autocomplete cannot find it, then it's not there, or you have some weird file system issue. Your problem doesn't appear to have anything to do with Wine.

1. type the wine command and enter a space in Terminal.
2. Browse to the "no$gba.exe" file in Finder
3. Drag the File from Finder into Terminal. This should correctly enter the path for you.
4. Hit enter and watch wine try to run your program.
