Endless "File not found" errors after application exit

Post by rmacd »

Hi there,

Haven't used Wine for years but am now using it for a Win32 application which I'm wanting to run on OS X, without having to resort to a fully-blown instance on VirtualBox or so forth.

I've set up everything as I want it, and the program(s) I'm using don't have any trouble starting up and doing what they need to do... The problem is that, after having used any of them, the shell becomes completely unusable. In fact, any characters I enter into the cmd shell after closing the application result in an immediate "File not found" message. I therefore have to close the cmd shell and oren it again... bit of a pain.

If you see the short video demonstration I uploaded to YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDPLGYDm5Z0), at about the 0:29 mark, I'm back in the shell and attempt to enter another command into the prompt. It, however, freaks out, leaving me with no option but to close and reopen the shell.

Anyone seen this before? Anyone got any idea what might be going on?

It'd be interesting to see how the environment variables change after application execution, but right now, I can't figure out a way of determining them if I'm not even able to type "set" into prompt...
