Steam not loading

Hello. I'm trying to get Steam running using Wine 1.0.1 (backports for Squeeze do not seem to be available for x64 and am too tired to bother compiling), but it always starts up, acts like it is logging in the suddenly crashes. No idea why, I reinstalled both many many times, even trying winetricks (which needs the newer version) and POL (which.. does nothing at all). The Wine error log, which is about all I can provide, is as follows:

Not being an expert at how Wine or how Windows works, could anyone point out potential issues or deduce exactly what it is and how I can fix it?

1.0.1 is over four years old and no longer supported. Upgrade to at least the latest stable release.
