help uninstalling wine

hey guys I've already read the wiki and tried whats there. I still cannot seem to uninstall wine 1.5 from my system. I could use a little help, I am running ubuntu 12.04. I installed wine from the package options here. and I cant seem to use the software center to uninstall it. I did not use the source. I am really confused now. if you could pm me any info on how to do so I would appreciate it.
