Wrong Entry in AppDB - what now?

Post by usfna »

Hi!

I couldn't find anything on what to do when there's something wrong with an applications (main) entry in AppDB (p.e. wrong Developer, spelling errors...).

So...:
1) What now? Should I post a comment in a subversion of the faulty entry? Or what?
2) Also, the answer to that question might make a good addition to the FAQ or something. If it's mentioned somewhere already or if there's a mechanism for requesting corrections like this, I probably browsed the corresponding article or whatever a good 20 times while still being able to totally overlook what I was searching for.

thx.

Stuff like that:

Notrium (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=10944)
is from
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... +Developer

Also there's a "Developer" named [Freeware] (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... +Developer). Among others, "Ikachan" and "Cave Story" are in there - those are from "Pixel" if I'm not mistaken... and the whole rest of the entries is... uhm... a huge mess?

Looks like "Freeware" is a catch-all for submitters who don't know who the developer is. You are going to have to give me specific information for each app entry you think needs to be corrected.

Or you can just apply to be a maintainer of those apps and correct them yourself.
