Problems configuring wineasio

Post by alexklaeser »

Dear all,

I have a question regarding configuring wineasio under Ubuntu 12.04 (and wine 1.4). I managed to compile and install and also tried to install it using the kxstudio repositories, both with the same result. Calling

Code: Select all

regsvr32 wineasio.dll
tells me Successfully registered DLL wineasio.dll, however when calling

Code: Select all

winecfg
, it seems that wine would use winealsa.drv as its audio driver, I do not get the audio tab as I expect it (e.g., see here). Instead I get (as I assume) the standard audio tab (see below). Is there anything that I'm missing?
audio tab of winecfg dialog after installing wineasio

Thanks a lot in advance for any help :)

Wineasio is a separate project; it is not supported here. I believe they have a mailing list for support.

Dear Dimesio,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I will have a try on the mailing list. I was just thinking wether there were some general issues I should be aware of when loading the wineasio driver.

best regards
