Block installation

Post by iononsbaLGiomai »

Hi all, I'm a new italian user. Sorry for my poor english .
I'd like to stop Wine from installing additional softwere. I installed some Windows software in Ubuntu on a my friend's computer. To protect it from installing stupid software (such as toolbars, optimization tools, etc..) or malware, I want to lock Wine for no more installation. Wine should work only for software already installed. Is it possible?

(I hope I wrote understandable  )

Wine is not a sandbox. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-f566a12 ... 13a773c571

This thread discusses some ideas people have come up with to accomplish what you want: http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14467. Try them at your own risk; I have no idea if any of them work.
