How do i run Quake 1 perfectly on Ubuntu 12.04?

Hello.

I've installed GlQuake on Ubuntu 12.04 with Wine.

But the problem is the console is just down all the time.
The console is blinking and flashing all the time and it's not realy down. The "camera" is to high up.
If you se the mousepointer. The mousepointer is right middle of the screen.



What is the problem? How do i fix it?

Looks like a problem I had with a game running in Full Screen I would attempt to get it running in windowed mode. That fixed my issue.

Isn't it easier to just compile Quake on Linux? I never tried, don't play Quake or Quake II, but had to ask.
