Error installing I Wanna Be The Boshy

I am trying to instal I Wanna Be The Boshy by Solgryn but I am getting an error everytime.

I am using the macbook pro retina with the latest version of Mountain Lion

I have the latest version of wine, xquartz, xcode, macports, and x11
I have tried a full reinstall.
I have had success installing internet explorer from terminal, and installing windows pinball with PlayOnMac. I could not install IWBTB with either.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

looks like XQuartz/X11 might be crashing... does it stop running after that error? Have you tried a virtual desktop?

xQuartz does not appear to be crashing, as it stays open throughout the process. However, there error PlayOnMac gives me:

Error in POL_Wine
Wine seems to have crashed

So it seems that wine is crashing. Regarding x11: I do not see an x11 application running in the dock, only the xQuartz, is this normal?

In response to having tried virtual desktop. Is there a virtual desktop app which you do not have to install a full version of windows for I am unaware of? I do not want to install a full version of windows OS. Thanks.

XQuartz is X11... so yes Wine should be running through that.

Virtual Desktop.. I mean in Winecfg, not talking about another program. In Winecfg you can set Wine to draw everything in a virtual desktop window.

Ok I set winecfg to emulate a virtual desktop. When I ran the exe through terminal, it opened the "Default - Wine desktop" window, then immediately crashed and gave the the same error. Thanks.
